Mice at ISS Run Like Crazy in Microgravity
Space is a really tough environment, but astronauts who live on the ISS are used to the unusual conditions. But what can we say about animals that they bring on board? Well, they show some quite interesting behaviour! According to Scientific Reports, the mice that were brought to space adapted to microgravity in a somewhat strange way: the young ones started to run in circles over and over. Scientists suggest that the animals were just stressed — or maybe they were attempting to make up for the lack of physical activity.
