Never Consume the ‘Clean’ Part of Moldy Bread

A viral Tech Insider video outlined the hazards of eating mold-contaminated bread. Many individuals eat the “clean” half of a slice of bread, assuming that because they can’t see any mold, they’re safe.

There is no such thing as a “clean” part of moldy bread.

Mold is a kind of fungus. It, like a mushroom, contains a large number of roots called hyphae that extend under the apparent surface. As a result, the entire loaf of bread is infested with mold.

It’s also dangerous to consume additional pieces of bread from the same loaf. Mold emits spores into the air, which may contaminate the entire loaf even though you can’t see them.
