Tokyo Launches Transparent Public Bathrooms


Transparent restrooms, which turn opaque once the door is locked, have gone into operation at two parks in Tokyo, Japan.

They are part of a project launched by a non-profit organisation and local government to renovate 17 public washrooms in Shibuya.The programme aims to dispel Japanese stereotypes that public toilets are dirty, smelly and scary.
