Warning: what you are about to read might completely ruin your productivity for the day. If you’re like me, it’s hard to stay focused this close to Christmas anyway, and with the new Star Wars movie out today, I’m more than ready to channel my inner Jedi.

Lucasfilm and Google have collaborated to make a Star Wars browser game: Lightsaber Escape.While that may sound like a simple enough diversion, this game adds a layer of immersion by turning your phone into your Jedi-approved weapon.
The most impressive part of this game may be just how easy it is to get into the action. Simply head over to the game’s page on your desktop or laptop first—it worked for me in Chrome and Edge—and you’ll then be given a URL to visit on your smartphone. After a short calibration process, you’ll be deflecting blaster fire in no time.
The only disappointing part of the game is how briefly it lets you step into those Jedi boots. After a few hallways of bad guys, you’ll duel a Stormtrooper wielding a melee weapon, and that’s it. Gamers with more smartphone-waving prowess than myself will finish it up in a minute or two.
