Intense Video Shows Attempted Armed Car Robbery in South Africa

Two escort guards in a cash-in-transit vehicle survived a horrific attack last week thanks to bulletproof windows, excellent driving skills, and a very strong Toyota Landcruiser bakkie.

The two were driving when armed robbers opened fire on their cruiser, which was fortunately bulletproof.

A round from what appeared to be an assault rifle was aimed directly at the driver, but it failed to penetrate the armoured escort vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, who was apparently part of a police task force, was praised for his handling of the situation.
