Boston Dynamics Atlas Robot Does Parkour

Atlas can now perform parkour — a sport of navigating through obstacles – in a new video, jumping and running along uneven levels. Then, two humanoid robots perform coordinated motions such as turning, spinning, and two flips, replicating one another’s movements.

Atlas became the extreme parkour star he is today after a month of training. Just as a baby learns to walk, its newfound ability is supported by several tumbles. Each fall aids the AI in developing a more solid knowledge of the course and how to effectively overcome it.
