Ocado Group Plc, the UK’s largest online supermarket, achieved a milestone this year when it assembled an order of 50 items, including fruit, meat, and dairy, in five minutes. An identical order takes roughly two hours to complete in one of the company’s older plants. The trick is a fleet of 2,000 robots that scurry around a warehouse grabbing items and delivering them to human packers.
